Director Chad Rullman:
For nearly a decade, writer/director Chad Rullman has been producing films and music videos in Atlanta, GA with his production company Supercollider Films.
Rullman has directed music videos for iconic artists and underground favorites such as:
~ Mastodon
~ Neurosis
~ Nile
~ Jarboe of Swans
~ The Agony Scene
~ Nodes of Ranvier
~ Soilent Green
Born in Chicago, IL, Rullman moved to Georgia as a young teenager and has been rooted in Atlanta ever since. In the mid 1990's he attended the film production program at American Intercontinental University, then, furthered his education with the Image Film and Video professional workshops (now Atl 365). During the late 90s Rullman cut his teeth working various crew positions on music videos, short and feature films.
The new millennium marked the dawn of Supercollider Films with the release of Rullman's dark and surreal short film, Kotoran Jiwa. The film debuted to a sold out audience and featured a live performance and companion sound track by Atlanta music legends Pineal Ventana. Kotoran Jiwa's stylish visuals and surreal subject matter soon found it a cult following and impromptu screenings popped up as far away as Eastern Europe.
In 2002 Rullman produced one of his most popular music videos for the influential band Neurosis. Crawl Back In was shot on 35mm film and showcases Rullman's style of high-contrast, under-exposed filming.
Neurosis: Crawl Back in
Rullman's style then gained international attention when he developed a music video for, the then little known, Mastodon. March of the Fire Ants premiered on MTVs Head Banger's Ball and instantly garnered "Bang of the Week" honors. It was hugely popular and heavily rotated, propelling both Mastodon and Rullman's career several steps forward.
From a very young age, Rullman's sights have been set on writing and directing feature films. While honing his skills and developing his directing style creating music videos, he's also been busy developing feature screenplays.
Rullman's passion for cinema stems from the Hollywood Renaissance of the 1970s. His inspiration comes from visionary surrealists like Lynch & Kubrick; from gritty, hyper-realistic greats Scorsese & Copolla; and modern masters such as Tarantino, The Coen Brothers, & Paul Thomas Anderson.
Rullman is very outspoken against the over-use of CGI in dramatic features and is an advocate for shooting on film.
Rullman has multiple features in development and is about to explode onto the movie scene, leaving the same eerie, dirt-covered impression he left in the music video industry.
THRALL
Rullman's newest feature in development promises to be absolutely terrifying.
Disenchanted by American horror films having become destroyed by glossy CGI, rehashed re-booted re-makes, and campy, cheap thrills; Rullman is on a mission to develop a truly scary and suspenseful horror movie that will reclaim the genre and bring American horror films back to the heights achieved in the 70s & 80s.
Supercollider Films is currently in pre-production to create a companion short film to showcase this project and rally support for the feature-lengthed version.
Sets are being designed, costumes developed, an amazing film crew is lining up, and the transcendent Neurosis will be lending nightmare-inducing soundscapes via their alter-ego, Tribes of Neurot..
...This is happening. Get ready.

INFECTIOUS WORLD
Infectious World seamlessly integrates current events such as terrorism, vaccination scares, & out-of-control 24-hour news media, into a survival-horror, zombie apocalypse scenario.
Infectious World flips a middle finger at political correctness and shines a light on the insanity in the modern world. The biting drama builds to a break-neck pace as the survivors of a global apocalypse fight for their very lives.
THE BETRAYER
The Betrayer showcases one man's downward spiral as he unwittingly takes position of an ancient artifact and transforms from a meek graphic designer to a paranoid shut-in, and ultimately, to a very dangerous survivalist.
The Betrayer is a dark, complex story of what can happen to a very weak person who believes he possesses something extremely powerful.
